法政大学 法学部卒。 セールスプロモーション会社（ＳＰＣほか）、 デベロッパー会社(森ビル開発株式会社ほか)を経て、 １９７９年独立、 株式会社 ダブルスマーケティングを設立し、 その後 株式会社 ダブルスワーク、 株式会社 ダブルスをはじめ、 複合商業施設、 都市開発、 リゾート施設の総合プロデュース、 マーケティングに関するコンサルティングを事業とするダブルス グループを築く。
総合プロデュースの主要実績として、 生活者主導型の開発ノウハウをもとに、 ラフォーレ原宿 (リノベーション1980)、 ウィング高輪 (新規開発1983年)、 市川ニッケコルトンプラザ （同1985年）広島アルパーク (同1989年)、 ＭＭ２１横浜、 ランドマークプラザ （同1993年）、 成田空港 第２ターミナルＳＣ (同1993年)、 名古屋ナディアパーク （同1995年）、 表参道アニヴェルセル舘 （同1998年）等の主要業績をトータルプロデュースし、 サクセススト―リーをつくり、 日本国内で最も多くの成功事例としての複合商業施設の開発計画を行った。
また、 プロデューサーとして、 数々の新しい開発ソフトを構築した。
1997年にダブルス グループを分社化、 1999年5月 これからの日本、 ならびにワールドワイドの次世代型開発環境を創造することを目的として、 株式会社ダブリューインタナショナルを設立。
都市開発プロデューサーとして 新しいノウハウの構築を行うことを目的として、 次世代型の開発の思想、
ソフト、 ノウハウの研鑚につとめている。
国内外の幅広いネットワーク、 研究会、 カンファレンス、 グローバルな情報網と人的組織の支援を基に、
来たるべき 「ヒト・ココロの時代」を意識した[次世代型の開発ソフト]を構築し、 生活者のための
豊かな未来を創出する知的集約型産業としての都市開発をはじめとする諸開発に携わる。
2016年5月 株式会社 ダブリュー インターナショナルを事業継承し、同会長に就任。 今日に至る。
Alex K Watanabe is a graduate in law from Hosei University. After working for Sales Promotion Center Inc. and Mori Building Development Inc. he established his own, independent company, Doubles Marketing Inc. in 1979. He then went on to establish the Doubles Group of companies including Doubles Work Inc. and Doubles Inc., engaged in general and marketing consultancy for commercial complexes, urban developments and resort facilities. Now, he has more than 37 years of experience in shopping center planning and consulting urban and resort developments.
Alex K Watanabe’s consultancy work is premised on user-led expertise and major achievements contributing to his success story, include “, “La Foret Harajuku” SC (1980 renovation), “Wing Takanawa” SC (1983), “Nikke Colton Plaza Ichikawa” SC (1985), “Hiroshima Alpark” SC (1989), “MM21 Yokohama Landmark Plaza” SC (1993), “Narita Airport No. 2 Passenger Terminal” Shopping Zone (1993), “Nagoya Nadia Park” SC (1995), “Annivercel Omote-Sando” Bridal and Banquet Building (1998).
This leaves the W’s Group with the greatest number of successfully completed commercial complex development plans in Japan. Alex K Watanabe has also been prolific in his urban plan output.
After setting up Doubles Group branches in 1997, Mr. Watanabe became active in devising next-generation concepts, plans and expertise in his role as urban development consultant and advisor to and director of affiliated companies.
Assisted by an extensive network at home and abroad, study groups, conferences, global information networks and human resources, he has been involved in creating ‘next-generation urban development plans’ and rigorous urban developments providing a plentifult future for their inhabitants, in acknowledgement of the certain arrival of a human-centered, emotion-centered age.
Mr. Watanabe established W International Inc. in May 1999. with the express purpose of creating an environment of next-generation developments for Japan and worldwide, through the use of ‘development plans for successful future development projects ’ evolved through existing networks and the experience and expertise gained from combined planning with urban development and property management consultancy.
In 2016, his position as a president of W International succeeded to a young generation and he was appointed as Chairman of W International Inc.

東京女子大学文理学部卒業。 １９８０年、 東京大学工学部建築学科意匠系研究室—槇 文彦教授室勤務。
建築設計事務所（現代建築研究所・團･青島建築設計事務所）のプロジェクトマネジャー、 開発企画会社（トランスノーツ、ダブルス）の取締役チーフディレクターを経て、 １９９９年 株式会社 ダブリュー インターナショナル専務 取締役・チーフディレクターに就任。 2016年5月に同社相談役に就任、今日に至る。
Rika Watanabe graduated from Tokyo Women’s Christian University, Department of Sciences and Humanities. From 1980 she was employed under Professor Fumihiko Maki in the Architecture Department’s Design Research Office at Engineering Faculty of Tokyo University.
She has been employed as project manager by the architectural firms (GKK Architectural Institute and Dan-Aoshima Architectural Research Institute), managing director and chief director of the development planning company (Trans Nautes and Doubles), from 1999 as executive director and chief director of W International Inc.
Afterwards, she was installed as a senior adviser of W International Inc..
